A lidded caddy....a tea caddy or an object to contain something or nothing.
Thrown and trimmed from an iron rich clay blend, the foot has a cut notch and knob on the lid is softly carved. Finger wiped dipped bisque slip and glazed with a Cornish Stone and Dolomite glaze with additional ash glaze.
To be completely transparent the fit of the lid on this Caddy isn't as snug as I normally like but it's still a nice example.
Approx 12.5cm tall including carved knob
Gas/wood fired to around 1300°C in a reduction atmosphere.
